David McKinnon is an entrepreneur, brand builder, and investor with four decades of experience. He brought Molly Maid to the United States in 1984 and co-founded Service Brands International in 2001 with partners Lynn Drayton and Bob Ufer, growing Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman, ProTect Painters, and 1-800-DryClean to more than 1,000 franchises across six countries. Three of the brands were acquired by the Dwyer Group in 2015.

Today, McKinnon invests in the public and private markets through TriniD Capital and TriniD Ventures, founded with partner Alan Gotthardt, and endows the International Franchise Association Foundation's NextGen in Franchising program, whose annual global contest awards the David McKinnon Global Entrepreneurship Award.
